Randall poked his head in the room. Six weasels, three hyenas, a brown scarred rat with one eye, and two foxes looked up.
“Uh...hi.” Randall said. “My name is Randall and I’m—”
“You woke up in some strange building, Queen Sarabi led you to this apartment and now you’re gonna live here.” said one weasel with a green zoot suit. “Big deal. Same old story!”
A female hyena went over to Randall. “Don’t listen to Greasy. He gets a little grumpy now and then."
Greasy looked up sharply. "Shenzi, why don't you just shut up?!"
Shenzi turned back, eyes flashing angrily. "Don't tell me to shut up you Lady's Man!"
Greasy's eyes widened and then turned into rage. "OH YEAH?! WELL YOU ARE A---"
"QUIET!!!"
Shenzi and Greasy flinched at the low, but loud hissy voice. A huge spider like creature appeared from the hallway and glared at the hyena and weasel.
"Would you two stop bickering and get along for just once?!"
The spider creature then looked straight at Randall. Randall gulped nervously as the yellow eyes burned into him.
"Sela." The creature growled.
A vixen stepped up. "Yes, Scroop?"
"Take this new one to his room.
Sela nodded and motioned Randall to follow her down the hall. She lead him down the hall where the bedrooms were. There were 12 bedrooms in all. Six on one side, six on the other. A bat was hanging on a doorway, asleep. He blinked and yawned. Randall stared at horror at the bat’s legs. He had one normal leg...and a peg-leg. The bat blinked.
“Oh look. A new face.”
“Just ignore Fidget.” Sela whispered. “He’s had a rough life.”
Randall stared at Fidget’s legs. Fidget glared at him.
“My boss cut off my leg because I failed him!” He snapped. “So get used to it!”
Sela led Randall away. “There are some rules around here” She whispered. “Do not stare at others disadvantages. Some are touchy about that.”
Randall shuddered. Sela opened a door.
“Now, there is your bed, so you can put your things away. I’ll leave you alone.”
She closed the door. Randall looked around. Two beds were on each side of the room. He went to the empty bed and sat on it. He looked out the window and
stared.
A huge castle stood on a hill. It wasn’t dull or boring. It looked beautiful and friendly. Randall went to the window and stared at it. He felt something land on his back.
He leaped up, trying to get the thing off him.
He heard a voice hiss, "You're mine! Time for death!"
